Sunday 31 July -
The Barns Hotel Bedford
When Rachel approached me at Knebworth
wedding fair and told me her wedding was going to be non traditional,
I got quite excited. I'm all for doing things your own way
and style so a black and red theme in including her dress
sounded amazing. Mainly though because it meant I could raid
one of my old goth outfits from my university days!
With a wedding at noon, I did some quick
getting ready photos with Rachel at home before heading to
the venue. Well I couldn't let those New Rock boots get away
without a photoshoot of their own.
Thankfully the boys were ready and waiting
at the venue so other than attaching their buttonholes they
were good to go.
The barn must have appealed to the couple
(who love a bit of medieval reenactment) given the pitchforks
hanging all around the walls. Rachel arrived in style in a
huge limo ... actually she was there quite early so lucky
the vehicle has blacked out windows so no one could see her
Before everyone headed to the bar and
riverside terrace it was a good chance to grab a shot of them
all together and then for the bride and groom to spend some
time getting used to their new just married status.
Guests were treated to a selection of
ice creams by Gelato John's with all manner of toppings and
sprinkles. I think a lot of people sampled all four flavours.
With the barn now set up for the wedding
breakfast you can see that the couple chose to have a top
table just for two. They also had two flavours of cupcake
and a top tier of a giant bakewell tart. Just be careful when
handing Tony a knife as he tends to wield it like a sword
After a first dance (obviously to a non
slushy number) the party got going but before I headed home
I got the couple outside for a night time shot.
