Saturday 6 August
- Pendley Manor
It's been years since I last photographed
at Pendley and Natalie and Jack's wedding was a really hot
sunny one!!! There were also two weddings going on that day,
plus a outdoor Shakespere performance, so keeping tabs on
who I was supposed to be photographing proved interesting.
Being a big fan of anything ranging from
duck egg to mint green I thoroughly approved of their colourscheme
which even extended to the venue's wallpaper (clever that).
I distinctly remember spending a lot
of time trying to get at least one peacock in shot ... it
was a challenge as the white one didn't want to play ball
at all. I should really look at adding some peacock treats
to the kit bag for any future visits to Pendley.
The couple chose their favourite childhood
classics as their table names and had stacks of books under
each vase of flowers. Favours had an Alice in Wonderland take
on things and the cake was black with a chalkboard effect.
Moving to the newer end of the hotel
for the evening party was easier said than done if you try
and walk through the hotel. It's a rabbit warren of corridoors
so take my advice and take the outside route instead. For
someone who doesn't drink, Jack was a complete demon on the
dancefloor all night which meant it was always packed.
