Saturday 30 August
- Bellows Mill
Louise and Craig wanted a really relaxed,
chilled out wedding - almost with a country fete feel. So
they held their celebrations at Bellows Mill near Dunstable
as it gave them countryside, outdoor space for plenty of drinks
and games. Louise got ready in the Kingfisher room and did
her own hair, makeup and even made the bouquets.
Complementing the outdoor theme, the
colourscheme was a mint green and the bride and groom had
ensured lots of little touches such as wedding pin badges
and signage around the venue.
Drinking, chatting and playing games
was the main focus of the day. This included the usual croquet
and jenga, but also sack racing and guessing the number of
sweets in the jar. Hay bales with fleece blankets provided
rustic seating with firepits lit later in the day.
There's certainly no shortage of space
(or ducks) at Bellows Mill and a walk around the lake takes
around 10 minutes... enough exercise to build up an appetite
for the wedding breakfast.
The barn was transformed for the wedding
breakfast with tables on both levels, jam jars filled with
flowers and the wedding cake made up from 3 different cheesecake
options for dessert!
As if all that food wasn't enough, evening
brought marshmallows for toasting over the fires and the lake
floodlit with green lights!
