2014 - Offley Place
When I was booked to photograph Joanne
and Andrew's wedding in February I wasn't expecting this sort
As their wedding was the day after Valentines
they choose a deep pink colourscheme - complete with roses
Making a big entrance at Offley isn't
difficult but I never know whether younger members of the
bridal party will get overwhelmed walking down the aisle.
These two little flowergirls did their job perfectly!
The conservatory at Offley is always
bright and airy - and the registrars are happy for photography
throughout the ceremony. Cathy's Bloomers did a great job
with the bay trees and wall mounted flower arrangement.
Ok, it still wasn't the warmest, but
I only kept the guests outside for a couple of minutes. I
have the fun job of climbing a fire escape to get this shot!
Apart from family formal photos there's
always plenty of time for capturing guests just having a good
The team at Offley are super efficient
and turn the conservatory around for the wedding breakfast
in record time. This means I can make sure the bride and groom
get to see it all set up, and on this occasion I used it as
a backdrop for some photos.
The tables were set up with candle lanterns,
which as it got dark looked lovely. Each table was named after
a Cornish beach - all of which have special meaning to the
Joanne and Andrew's cake was heart shaped
and as confirmed by the groom "very tasty".
