Friday 29 August
- All Saints Church Datchworth and Knebworth Barns
I always get a bit giddy about shoes
and stunning bouquets so you can imagine I was postively squealing
with delight on seeing Charlotte's Louboutin shoes and posy
made out of brooches. Thankfully she stayed much calmer with
one of her bridesmaids doing her makeup and her hairdresser
(another guest) doing her updo!
The ceremony at Datchworth Church went
without a hitch. I think that's because I knew the groom has
a sweet tooth so arrived with a pocket full of Haribo's to
keep him happy and willing to pose for some pictures!
The church has a lovely garden area so
the bridal party and family group photos were done there.
On route to Knebworth we also did a quick stop overlooking
Stevenage where they released a balloon in memory of Charlotte's
nan who recently passed away.
We got a bit of a surprise on arriving
at Knebworth as the house and grounds were being used to film
the new adverts in between Downton Abbey, so the place was
full of people in period costume! Hence a bit of a back up
plan in regards to some car photos. There were also sculptures
dotted around the gardens so some of these got incorporated.
After their Alice in Wonderland themed
wedding breakfast and sweet bar, the evening was a proper
party. The bride knew the moves to some great movie dance
routines and the groom even got on the mic for a rendition
of You've Lost That Loving Feeling from Top Gun. I didn't
want to leave!
