2013 - Christchurch Ware and Tewin Bury Farm
The first thing that greeted me on arrival
at Carolyn's parents was the most beautiful heart shaped wreath
on the door, so I knew I was in the right place. Her bouquet
matched the icey blue Christmas theme, complete with pine
I'd had a sneak preview of 'the dress'
but it was absolutely stunning in real life and I was glad
to be of assistance in helping getting it laced up... it's
something I've become a bit of a dab hand at!
I met Nick at the church with his bestmen
and the ushers who kindly did some 'hand modelling' for me.
Carolyn's dad not only had the honour
of walking her down the aisle but he also conducted the marriage.
It's certainly the first time I've seen a 'vicar' in black
tie but it made the ceremony so personal and special.
Now to say that the drizzle didn't stop
all day is an understatement. The bridal party braved the
outdoors for a couple of photos outside the church but others
were done inside. This does mean being more creative but that's
part of the fun of being a photographer.
Nick and Carolyn just made it to Tewin
Bury Farm before the light completely went but I also used
the barn beams for photos.
The reception in the Tythe Barn had been
decorated with so many little details - from a Mr&Ms quiz,
bestmen speeches sweepstake and thank you posters.
The party was kicking off as I left but
I managed to capture some action on the dancefloor too!
